Xbox app not working on pc11/7/2023 additionally i had another drive with some ext4 partitions connected. however i still had my old SSD, where windows was installed, connected to be able to access files. I recently bought a new SSD and did a fresh install of windows 10. It turned out that the cause for my problem was some something else. logging in to windows using my microsoft account (i was hoping "native" SSO would make things work but this did not help either) removing my microsoft account from the "e-mail & app accounts" settings closing the xbox app, logging in through the xbox console companion app and starting the xbox app again (did not help, i still was not logged in) un- and reinstalling xbox game app (both through apps & features ui and powershell with administrative privileges - nothing helped) un- and reinstalling game services (deleting the registry key did not help either) I tried the following measures (in various combinations and sequences) without success: Additionally i was not able to install any purchased games as the destination drive selection was always showing '() unknown available'. After clicking "sign-in" the screen would flash white for a split second and afterwards nothing happened. Logged in to windows using a local user account. Gaming services and XBox services configured to automatic start Latest XBox app and gaming services installed I just spent the last hours trying (and finally managing) to fix this problem. nat type and server connectivity show moderate and connected, respectively. followed the steps (did the same for Xbox Live Game Service bc fuck it why not) to set it to its default startup type (after changing start up type, hit apply, then start should be clickable) and LO AND FUCKING BEHOLD my issue was resolved. finally got to step 4 on the server connectivity forum, and saw that my Xbox Live Auth Manager and Xbox Live Networking Service (also Xbox Live Game Service but that wasn't listed in the forum) were set to disabled instead of manual. Solution: ran through all of the solutions starting with the nat type forum, but none of them helped. nat type linked a help forum, so did server connectivity. eventually went to settings - gaming - xbox networking, and saw that nat type and server connectivity were blocked. spent days searching for an answer, couldn't find shit, spent days trying different fixes i found, nothing worked. not exactly like OP posted, but same core concept i suppose. run windows decrapifier to clean up some things, xbox app is now broken - anytime i tried to sign in, a window would flash three times for a second, then disappear. I'm posting this everywhere i can in hopes it might help someone else.Ĭontext: xbox app installed, games run like a charm, all is well. Unsure if a game is playable on your Xbox Series?
